Embedded in the multi-disciplinary European Sales Operations team, the Senior EDI Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining electronic data interchange (EDI) activities within the Order to Cash cycle of the European commercial organization. This position, based in Prague, involves working with various internal departments, such as Order Fulfilment and Collections, and external partners to ensure smooth and efficient data exchange processes for these key business functions and high levels of customer satisfaction with regards to EDI processing. In addition, this role will be responsible for managing the EDI implementation roadmap and pipeline.
EDI PROCESSING
- Develop and execute an EDI implementation roadmap and pipeline that aligns with the organization's overall business objectives, provide input to and support the E-commerce Roadmap
- Manage and prioritize the EDI implementation pipeline, ensuring timely delivery of projects
- Implement and maintain EDI connections for new and existing trading partners, including ownership of EDI details on customer / message type level (contacts, connections, message types, SAP & middleware setup)
- Develop and implement EDI testing and quality assurance procedures
COMMUNICATION (External & Internal)
- Understand customers’ EDI requests and translate them to actionable information and requests to IT teams
- Transmit internal information towards customers in a clear and professional manner
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to identify and resolve EDI-related issues and discrepancies
- Provide training and support to internal end-users on completed EDI implementations
REPORTING & DOCUMENTATION
- Generate reports on EDI activities and identify opportunities for process improvements
- Keep the EDI documentations (work instructions, setup tables, EDI communication types) up-to-date

- Bachelor's degree in business, information technology or related field
- 5+ years of experience in customer-facing EDI processing and maintenance
- Fluent in English, other European languages are an advantage
- Knowledge of EDI standards and protocols such as EDIFACT and XML
- Experience with SAP SD and FI is a strong plus
- Comprehensive know-how about sales processes
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, capability of understanding and translating demands between customer & IT
