Business Development Manager (Czech Republic)

AIT Worldwide Logistics-Europe is seeking a Business Development Manager who is responsible for driving business growth within AIT Worldwide Europe, and ultimately managing and developing a network of new clients, specifically within Czech Republic, Research and understand new market opportunities and oversee growth projects, making sales projections and forecasting revenue with a business plan that will achieve the corporate revenue goals. The candidate must be able to drive the creation of strategic and analytical thinking skill. whilst working collaboratively with the senior teams to support sales growth objectives, enabling Sales Strategy.


What You Will Be Doing Day-to-Day:

  • Work with suppliers and colleagues to develop strong pricing strategy and capabilities and apply unique World Class Pricing framework
  • Developing effective and efficient communication mechanisms that work closely with local, regional, operations staff to ensure customers’ needs and expectations are met
  • Advocate AIT Worldwide in a professional manner with support from Global Marketing
  • Creating strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities
  • Accountable to directly identify and initiate business development opportunities
  • Identify and engage with clients that provide sustained and profitable revenue streams across all services
  • Develop and execute a business plan that will achieve sales quota and budget as defined by the company
  • Present an array of logistics solutions that enable numerous entry points into accounts
  • Preparation and assembly of accompanying documents (offers, concepts, presentations, etc.)

Other Skills We Hope to See:

  • EDUCATION & TRAINING:
    • Minimum of 5 – 7 years’ experience within logistics supply chain environment, strongly preferred
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
    • Completed further training as a forwarding specialist
  • TECHNICAL- & METHODOLOGICAL COMPETENCIES
    • Ability and desire to learn specific sales service knowledge as is relates to the support of the Sales Team
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Cargowise software Sales and Marketing insight
    • Strong organizational skills including demonstrated ability to effectively organize and prioritize workload and manage in a multi-task environment
    • Understanding of values-led solution selling with the ability to inspire others
    • Establishes procedures and guidelines within department
    • Competitive and confident personality with strongly developed persuasive and negotiation skills
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think and respond quickly to sales and service issues
    • Resolves complex problem with independent action
    • Demonstrates considerable judgment in selecting methods
    • Good command of written and spoken West Slavic and English, knowledge of other languages an advantage
  • PERSONAL- & SOCIAL COMPETENCIES
    • Strong communication and excellent interpersonal skills (including telephone, e-mail, Zoom, and presentations skills) and the ability to communicate accurate information
    • Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously in the work setting
    • Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems in an empowered, self-directed/managed work environment
    • Outstanding customer service skills with high energy, positivity, and customer centric attitude
    • Always maintain a high level of professionalism along with extreme discretion with all information
    • Must be able to perform in a fast pace / high volume work environment

    • Flexibility, resilience, and willingness to change
    • Willingness to travel around 10-20%
